TRAINING FOR
YOUR NEW PUPPY
Here's
how to get an older trained puppy.
We are now offering training by the week. This will
give more people and puppies the opportunity to take
advantage of the training since the first weeks are
usually the hardest. Please understand
that these puppies will have a good start on their training
but they are still only puppies and this is just a start.
You will have to continue their training as this is
an ongoing process.
Here's
how it works.
Each week of training is $100.00 plus any vet bills
and shots your puppy requires during that week. We will
tell you when you book your training if your puppy will
need any shots or trips to the vet for that week or
weeks you have booked and approximate cost of the vet
visit or shots. The first week of training is available
to everyone but the second week will be on a first come
first serve basis. Both weeks work on potty training.
Week
#1 is crate training.
This week will get your puppy used to sleeping in a
crate at night. We will also do 2 naps in the crate
during the day. By the time this week is over most puppies
are sleeping through the night in their crate and don't
mind naps during the day in case you have to make a
trip to the store or a doctor's appointment. The crates
are in our family room during the day and in the bedroom
at night.
Week
#2 is everything in week #1 plus listening.
This
week we will continue the crate training and also work
on getting your puppy to listen to you which includes
learning their name, sit, watch you and come. We will
only take 3 puppies at a time for this week.
If you would
like your puppy trained even further we can arrange
with our friends at K9
Camp
for several levels
of training including puppy camp, basic and advanced
obedience and even Therapy
and Service dog training.
